Mary Ellen Schutz is a gifted writer, editor, web designer, and project coordinator. For more than 20 years, she worked as an editor, writer, and documentation and translation project coordinator for computer and scientific instrument companies. Over the years, She has worked on computer hardware, software, drivers, BIOS, other firmware, infrared and imaging microscopes, Raman and Fourrier-Transform infrared spectrometers, writing and editing everything from end-user to depot-service and programmer materials. Most recently, she worked on instruments that use infrared, molecular vibration, or X-ray for qualitative and quantitative analysis. This past year, Mary Ellen began branching out into freelance editing and writing, with clients varying from Sybex, an Imprint of Wiley Publishing, to the Urban League of Greater Madison, to the "boy next door" start -ups, and master's candidates.
