Technology: What is technology, and what are its most important uses?  We will give you a simple overview of technology and its importance in our lives. 

Each of us has his own concept of technology and each of us has his own opinion about it. There are people who cannot live without it, while there are people who see it as a major cause of environmental imbalance.  But we all agree that in our current era, technology is indispensable.  Technology has become an integral part of our daily lives. Even those who do not like the presence of technology in our world cannot deny that they cannot live without it today.

Technology [1], is a non-Arabic word of Greek origin, consisting of two syllables, the word techno which means craft, skill or art, and the word logi which means science or study.  To formulate everything in the word technology in the sense of application science;  Many scholars have given many other definitions of the word.  Technology is defined as the sum of techniques, skills, technical methods and processes used in the production of goods or services or in achieving goals.

1- Industrial technology: It is one of the most important types of technology in which raw materials are converted into useful products.  As technology has greatly affected the industry and is an important factor for the sustainability of the industry and the speed and raising of production rates, and technological innovation has increased competition between industrial sectors, which increases this competition with new and innovative production opportunities. 

2- Medical technology: Through it, medical devices and systems are developed to promote health and treat diseases.  Where the presence of technological development in medicine helped to preserve the lives of many patients;  Reducing the number of deaths compared to the past.  

3- Agricultural technology: It is called biotechnology, through which both science and technology are used in crop cultivation and in livestock breeding. 

4- Communication technology: through which ideas, information, and even opinions are exchanged.  Communication technology has connected the world to each other, and it has become like a network full of useful information and a link full of thought between all countries of the world. 

5- Building technology: Technology is used in construction using many commodities and manufactured materials in many locations.  Where the intervention of architectural technology facilitated a lot of hard work that used to take a lot of time and effort, and there was a speed in architectural achievement and structural development.
