With August approaching and Texas set to prepare for the 2022 season, a number of players can improve their standing within the depth chart.
Multiple positions are up for grabs, with none more important than quarterback and left tackle. Quinn Ewers and Hudson Card will battle for the right to run Sarkisian’s offense, while Andrej Karic and Kelvin Banks will battle for the premier offensive line spot.
With Xavier Worthy and Isaiah Neyor figuring to take the most snaps at receiver, Jordan Whittington, Ja’Tavion Sanders, Jahleel Billingsley, Agiye Hall and others will jockey for the remaining spots.
Texas could have another open spot on the offensive line. The defense should have quite a few openings as well. Here are players with the most to gain from a strong fall camp.

Quinn Ewers
Ohio State Football Training Camp
Ewers came to Texas in part to win the quarterback competition. A strong performance could win him the starting job for his childhood favorite team.
Cole Hutson
The blue chip talent was one of the few early enrollees for Texas. Should he follow his strong spring with another good camp, he could take hold playing time at center or guard this season.
Agiye Hall
Hall is in the Xavier Worthy tier of receiver talents. If he can do it on a consistent basis, Texas may have to reshuffle the offense to make room for the elite receiver.
