The European Championship in Erzurum

Young swimmers from Bosnia and Herzegovina are practicing in Erzurum in anticipation of the European Championship.

In preparation for the world and European championships, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Junior National Swimming Team is getting stronger in Erzurum.

Teams from various nations continue to compete at the Palandöken Olympic Swimming Pool, the only high-altitude venue in the heart of Europe with the capability for Olympic swimming.

Since 2017, international athletes from many nations have had access to the Olympic pool in Erzurum, which boasts the potential to be a popular winter tourist destination for both local and foreign visitors.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Junior National Swimming Team, which traveled to the high altitude to gain strength, is training in the pool with six swimmers at an altitude of 2,000 feet in preparation for the European Championship, which will be held in Belgrade on July 4–9, and the World Championship, which will be held in Japan.

Because of its high altitude, they favored Erzurum.

They arrived from Sarajevo with six athletes, according to national team coach Evelin Avdic, and an AA correspondent.

Avdic remarked, "We are getting ready for the European Championship to be held in Belgrade. That is why we came to Erzurum for the first time. We made our first trip to the high-altitude camp. We chose to visit Erzurum because of its high altitude. We work in the pool while staying at the hotel, which is about 2,000 meters away. We feel more at ease as a result. He added, "He runs in good shape.

Avdic gave details on the camp, saying:

The athletes' physical condition is generally good. On the initial days we arrived, they underwent light instruction for a week. The training was then made more challenging. The camp is running smoothly. We will initially take part in the European Championship in Belgrade before leaving this location. At the end of July, we will compete in the World Championship in Japan. Championship. We will struggle or fight for the end result. We have one goal in mind, but like everyone else, we want a medal. At the 2017 European Junior Championships held in Slovakia, my daughter (İman Avdic) took home a medal. Previously, she had achieved success in the major, junior, and junior countries. We have athletes who have achieved international recognition.

Avdic stated that the athletes are aiming toward continuing their education during the European Youth Championship.

Avdic: I hope to receive a medal.

İman Avdic, a 15-year-old national athlete from Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressed that he has won 700 medals in his career.

 Avdic recalled that he had taken home the bronze medal at the 2017 European Junior Championships in Slovakia, adding, "We train well here. In the races, I hope to perform well and take home a medal. Being in Erzurum and visiting a high-altitude camp for the first time makes me delighted. I used the expression, "I loved it here.
