Today, Wednesday (April 27, 2022), European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen wrote on Twitter that “Gazprom’s announcement is another attempt by Russia to blackmail us with gas. Von der Leyen added that the European Union is working to ensure the availability of alternatives to supplies from Russia, noting that the European Union countries have drawn up contingency plans, and stated that the gas coordination group is currently meeting.

The Russian gas giant "Gazprom" announced today, Wednesday, that it would stop pumping Russian gas to Bulgaria and Poland, which it had previously threatened to do, after it did not receive payments in rubles from the two countries. It also threatened that it is possible to reduce other supplies if any of the two countries exploits the gas that is transported through its territory to other countries.
