A 21-year-old young man was stabbed to death on Sunday following a fight in an apartment in Juvisy-sur-Orge (Essonne) after which six people were taken into police custody, learned AFP on Sunday from concordant sources.

After a brawl which opposed five young people on one side and a young person and his uncle on the other for a "futile reason for the car key" late Sunday afternoon, a young man, who was part of the first group, was killed with a mortal blow to the throat, a police source said.

The six other people were arrested in the process and placed in police custody, according to the prosecution. Despite the intervention of the police and then the firefighters, the young man died of his injuries, according to the police source. An investigation was opened for murder and violence in meetings, entrusted to the departmental security of Essonne.
