The Ministry of Energy refuses to spread

$25/hr Starting at $25

After great concern about its health damage to vulnerable and chronically ill Sunni groups, and after some videos taken by activists in the city of Quneitra showed “dense polluting fumes emanating from local factories,” which led to a strong return of talk over the past few days about the phenomenon of “black dust” that resurfaced on the buildings, the Ministry of Energy Transition

In a post on its official LinkedIn account, the Ministry of Energy Transition published a clarification in Arabic and French, which stated that “the attached photo of the video circulating on social media of a chimney pouring black smoke into the air is not of the thermal power plant in Quneitra,” adding that “the relevant interests are in the process of verifying the source of the video,” a picture of which a picture was attached to its publication.

The ministry confirmed, in the same publication, which Hespress verified and republished on its Twitter page, that “the Environment Police and the National Laboratory for Pollution Studies and Monitoring remain mobilized to monitor air quality at the level of Quneitra city.”

It is noteworthy that environmental activities in the "Gharbia" recently launched an electronic petition to collect signatures and mobilize national public opinion on the issue, calling for a comprehensive investigation into the dangers of these fumes coming from the city's factories, thus linking responsibility to accountability in the event of health damage caused by "black dust."
