Article 8 of the Saudi nationality system, before the amendment, stipulates that “Saudi nationality may be granted by decision of the Minister of Interior to a person born inside the Kingdom of a foreign father and a Saudi mother if the following conditions are met:

A- To have permanent residence status in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia upon reaching the age of majority.

b- He must be of good conduct and behavior and has never been convicted of a criminal judgment or a prison sentence for a moral crime for a period exceeding six months.
