For about a year, back when it was still within Amazon's policy to do so, I reviewed products for companies (getting them at a free or discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion). I am the type of person who relies on reviews, good and bad, before buying a product. Even before writing my own review on the products, I would go through other people's reviews to see their pros and cons. If enough customers brought up something negative about the product, I would make sure to address the issue, and provide how I felt about that particular issue. My reviews were never one liners, always consisted of an opening paragraph, what I liked/didn't like, and whether or not it was a good value. It's a shame people abused that system because quite enjoyed reviewing products (and getting some really good items I still use 3 years later).
