Place: NCR, Japan Role: Technical Lead Project Details: MobileProtect is a product in the Windows PC security domain. This product protects the leaks of confidential information resulting from loss of mobile PC and unauthorized removal of media. This software basically secure data by encrypting it using 128/256 bit AES and 3DES algorithms and by providing the double authentication (user authentication before standard Windows logon mechanism) for user accessing the data. This additional authentication is done through the password based, key based or fingerprint-based access mechanism. Irrespective of all restrictions and authentication, all the encrypted data is seamlessly available to the authenticated user. This functionality is provided the implementation of File system filter driver. It filters out the calls coming from IFS Manager before they are passed to the Windows File System. It also supports the internationalization and has the user interface for both English and Japanese machines. My Responsibility: • Analysis of the Requirement Specifications provided by the client. • Involved in ascertaining the requirements, analysis and feasibility & breaking down these requirements in various releases. • Single handedly designed the technical approach for Filter Driver and it’s integration with user mode NMLMgr module. • Take care of technical issues that may surface during the Win98SE migration especially for the deprecated features. • Responsible for timely completion of the project with desired level of quality at onsite and offshore. • Responsible for resolving all technical issues related to scope and/or any other system integration issues. • Communication/correspondence with the entire stakeholder’s including Client and HCL’s SM. • Distribution of Project Status/Engagement status to the respective stake holders.
