By 3:30 am, social media pioneers in Egypt wrote about their feelings of the earthquake from different governorates, while the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research announced that an earthquake occurred 691 km north of Egyptian Rafah.Dr. Jad Al-Qadi, President of the National Astronomy Institute, said that the earthquake that occurred at dawn today is the largest in the region since 1990, as it has nearly 20 aftershocks with a strength ranging from 6 to 6.5 on the Richter scale, and this is a great strength compared to previous aftershocks.

1- In the event of an earthquake, it is preferable to sit on the ground and cover your body with a pillow or blanket to protect your head from something falling on top of it in order to avoid injuries.

2- Cover your body by being under the table or using sofa cushions as protection for you and your body so that things do not fall.

3- Preparing an emergency kit, by preparing water bottles, batteries, and some types of medicines in case of injuries to your family members.

4- Natural disasters come without warning, but in the event that astronomical research warns that an earthquake is expected, it is preferable for you to be in your home, but in the event that it occurs while you are outside, you must be in a safe place and cover your head using your hand to avoid falling debris.

5- In the event of injuries, you must ensure that there is external bleeding or deep wounds, then use a bandage and place it on the wound to stop the blood flow, and when the crisis is over, you must visit the doctor immediately.

6- Avoid using elevators, as they are not safe at all, and even climbing stairs, because they collapse at any time, so it is preferable to sit in a fixed place and you have to wait until the end of the earthquake wave.
