I am currently undertaking a Diploma in Media Production, the next year is a big step for me as I am about to go and undertake my degree, in either 'Broadcast TV', 'Film and TV' or 'Live Event and Music Production'. Whilst I continue to develop my skills in education I also intend to undertake freelance work to gain more experience in the industry. Whilst undertaking my current course my projects and work experience have helped me get some key opportunities on set and in live production. A particular highlight in this was being on the team for the Cumbria Pride live stream, on this day I showed my adaptability as I started the day off as a 'Production Assistant', then moved onto Camera Operation before finishing the day as the lead vision mixer. The stream was viewed by over 2000 people so this was a great success. I am a very hard worker, this was backed up when I won 2018 'Student of the Year' for my course, this was decided by my Tutors and fellow students, which was fantastic honour to be recognised by my peers. During this year I also was part of the 'Team of the Year'. The whole journey to that award was a fantastic experience as along the way I made good friends with my team they helped me grow as a person. Whilst not completely relevant to the Media industry, I have had 3 years of retail experience I find this to be relevant still as my time in retail has taught me; good 'Time Management', 'Key Communication Skills', 'Team Work', 'Patience' and has instilled an attitude in me that well serve me well in the industry.
