I have done medical transcription for 15 years. I last worked for the VA Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for 11 years doing most specialties and types of dictations. I am used to ESL dictations and I feel I was very good at my job. I was an independent contractor and the owner of the contract loved my work and felt I was a very loyal transcriptionist and the supervisor at the VA always gave positive feedback on my quality assurance. The job at the VA ended because the contract was awarded to a new contractor.
