Over the course of three years, I developed the ability to adapt to people' various manners of speaking. This was essential for capturing vital information, as a scribe cannot interrupt a patient encounter to ask for clarification. Today, I pride myself on my proficiency with different accents and dialects, plus my competency in translating vernacular to English language.
