A good transcriptionist listens to the recording and transcribes the recording into a text file. Understands client requirements regarding formatting and notation. Checks grammar, punctuation and spelling accurately before presenting to client. Corrects any errors or omissions in a timely manner. Keeps abreast of the latest transcription software and makes upgrades and enhancements if necessary. I can do all this because I have been associated with the same organization for the last fifteen years.
