I have over 5 years of experience in the transcription field. I graduated from college with an Associate's Degree in Medical Office Systems Technology and have been employed as a medical transcriptionist at a hospital in North Carolina for the past 5 years. I am a very observant person. I take pride in my work. If it has my name on it, I want it to be professional and done to the best of my abilities. My area of knowledge is medical transcription and I have also done some billing and coding. My average typing speed is 80 wpm. I proofread my work and have excellent spelling skills and command of the English language. I am a quick learner and am self-motivated. Since what I type becomes a legal document after it is entered into the patient's chart, I make sure that whatever I type is throughly proofread.
