I have over 30 years of clerical experience ranging from receptionist to the position I now hold, which is Administrative Assistant for a local oil & gas firm. I opened the doors to my home-based business in 1998. Since that time, I have provided legal document preparation services for a local solo practitioner here in the Houston, Texas area on a contract basis. I have approximately 11 years of legal secretarial experience along with knowledge of the inner workings of the legal office. I can and have prepared legal briefs, motions, inter-pleadings and the like utilizing tables of content and lists of authorities. I have experience in the set up and maintenance of legal files, can and have prepared and updated legal indexes, summarized medical bills to include Excel spreadsheets listing patient's incurred medical expenses, etc. and performed dictation transcription of medical record summaries.
