I am a retired university professor who taught French linguistics and stylistics for almost 35 years. I was also the director of a Lebanese high school for about 20 years. I did my secondary and university studies in Lebanon, then I have been in France for three years and obtained my doctorate in Aix-en-Provence. During my active life, I have edited some forty collections of short stories, which I have subsequently published either alone or in partnership with another university professor. Since my retirement, I have written four books in French that I have self-published on Amazon kindle. The first is my memoirs as a high school principal. Its title in French is "De mémoire de directeur". Then I collected the posts I had made on Facebook, and that is how my second book My Facebook Posts came about. My third book is an autobiography called The Couch. I also wrote a romance called "A Picture of You". My fifth book is a short story called "Latif". I translated all these books myself into English, and the romance was published in the United States by Austin Macauley under the title “Like an image”.
