I was born in El Salvador in 1975. My parents and I migrated to the United States when I was nine (9) years old; fleeing the civil war El Salvador was facing at the time. Upon arrival, I was enrolled in the second grade in an United States public school. I was an honor roll student a few years. I was a member of the student counsel at an elementary school in the fifth grade. I was also a member of the Honor Society of America in the seventh grade. I was also promoted to the ninth grade when I was in the eighth grade for academic achievements. I received numerous awards for perfect attendance, art, among others. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin in Houston, Texas in 1997. I took some welding courses at San Jacinto Community College in Houston, Texas. I returned to El Salvador under circumstances out of my control. I attended a technical college in El Salvador from 2003 though 2006. I tried to obtain a technical certificate in information technology. I was thought computer programming (PHP, Visual Basic, Java and C#), graphic design (Corel Draw, Macromedia Flash), web page design, networking, databases (SQL, MySql), etc. I did well in most of my classes. I am competent to work in a beginners level in information technology in the aforementioned fields. I am also competent to translate from English to Spanish and vice-versa any legal and/or technical document, video, music, web site, etc. I am barely beginning my freelance endeavor and I am willing to work for free in small projects to gain experience and reputation.
