The first thing you need to know about me is that I am a freelancer.

I am a freelance business, conference & diplomatic interpreter, and I am a freelance translator. And I think it’s fairly safe to say that I have become rather attached to the many advantages the freelancer lifestyle has to offer.

For one thing, I love the freedom that comes with. Traveling, photography and the opportunity to discover new destinations and experiment with new recipes tend to make it all the more worth it, as do the people I get to meet along the way, and the friendships I get to enjoy.

I am a good listener, and I my travels and professional experience have taught me a lot about communication, its different goals, and how to make it work. And I always do my best to make it work.

Your goal is to understand and be understood. Your meeting needs to go well, and your negotiations have to be a success. If more than one language is at play, this is where I come in. This is where I can help.

As a conference interpreter I work between English and Russian, as well as from French into Russian and English in business, conference, and diplomatic contexts.

A few years ago I also made the fatal mistake of trying to learn Spanish and Italian at the same time. I fell in love with both, and succeeded in mastering neither. But I’m working on that, as well as German.
