I have worked with several translation companies around the world (USA, Colombia, England and Spain). I am currently working as an ongoing freelance translator for two companies right now, one of which is a Law Firm in Iowa. I have translated different kind of documents, from legal documents to economical documents, websites and mobile apps, etc. With my experience, I have learned that translating is not about a word-for-word translation. I understand that the idea, concept and tone of the original message needs to be translated in a way that it suits the target language Here is a little information about me, Both English and Spanish are native languages for me. I was born in Colombia, but I grew up in Boston, Massachusetts where I went to Elementary, Middle, and High-School. I lived in Boston for 11 years. You can see on my profile, the tests I have taken on Upwork, and client reviews, which can fully show what I know. I worked 2 years as an Interpreter in a Hospital in Boston. I have worked over the past 6 years as a translator for different companies where I have also worked on transcribing and proofreading projects. I am currently studying Computer Engineering in Medellin, Colombia in one of the best Universities in the Country.
