I am a London-based English/Chinese translator currently studying Modern and Classical Chinese at SOAS. I was born in the UK but spent my early years in Shanghai and Hong Kong and each summer I visit Shanghai for my summer holiday. Having Chinese family means I am able to communicate fluently in Mandarin and Shanghainese with minimal accent. I have studied and worked professionally in both the UK and China and I am comfortable with both Chinese and Western culture. I have had 3 years of translation experience as part of my degree and can translate both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. I have translated texts of a range of different topics to a high standard, including business documents, contemporary literature and news articles as well as Classical Chinese texts.
