This week's scheduled trial for Brittany Higgins' rapist is expected to proceed as scheduled.
Ms Higgins claims that Bruce Lehrmann groped her in a Parliament House office in 2019.
He has pleaded not guilty to a single count of sexual intercourse without consent.
A stay application was filed by Mr Lehrmann's defence team to prevent the case from going to trial.
Their bid was unsuccessful, which would have effectively ended any future trials.
