"The two countries are witnessing close cooperation in various fields, from economy, trade, tourism and energy to security, defense, education and culture," he added.

"This unique cooperation is reflected in the high-level meetings of the Higher Strategic Committee, which was established in 2014, as a bilateral mechanism to enrich cooperation between Turkey and Qatar," he added.

** 83 agreements in 7 meetings

Kokso praised the role played by the Turkish-Qatari Joint Strategic Committee, noting that it "represents the most important and strongest pillar of the exceptional relationship between the two countries."

He added that "the eighth meeting of the committee, which will be held in Turkey on October 14, 2022, will make great contributions to diversifying and deepening our relations."

And he indicated that "seven meetings of the committee were held, - the last of which was held in Doha on December 7 last - in which 83 agreements, protocols, memoranda of understanding and a joint statement were signed, which contributed to moving the relationship to new levels."

"The number and scope of the agreements signed demonstrate the success of institutionalizing the Higher Strategic Committee, as the highest mechanism for our bilateral cooperation," Coxo added.
