Don't underestimate the value of a quick turn board assembly house that consistently delivers quality stuffed boards on a fast schedule. I have an excellent relationship with a west coast board house that delivers. They provide overnight quotes on moderately complex boards(100-200 line items), and put assembled boards in my hand in about a week(incl. parts sourcing, PCB fab, and stuffing). They are often cheaper than the guys that take a week to quote, weeks for fab and stuffing, plus the constant need to ping them for status updates.
