On a road trip through Australia’s Northern Territory I am privileged to receive a rich and emotional glimpse into Aboriginal culture. A profoundly spiritual people, Aborigines have a deep connection with the land, nurture respect for their elders, and believe that true knowledge comes from their ancestors.A 1,420 km journey through Australia aboard the historic Ghan railway to discover the beauty of Australia’s Red Center and the Valley of the Winds. The century-old railway line closed in 1980 and reopened again in 2000 when the Australian government invested 1.2 billion dollars to restore it.
