The Petroleum Products Automatic Pricing Committee decided to increase gasoline prices by 25 piasters, according to a statement from the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources on Friday.

The statement said that the selling price of gasoline products of all three types has been modified, as of nine o'clock this morning.

The prices will be as follows

The price of a liter of petrol 80 will be 7.50 pounds per liter

The price of a liter of 92nd gasoline will become 8.75 pounds per liter

The price of a liter of 95 gasoline will become 9.75 pounds per liter

The committee decided to fix the price of diesel at 6.75 pounds per liter, and to increase the price of a ton of diesel fuel supplied to the rest of the industries by 400 pounds, bringing the price of a ton of diesel to 4,600 pounds, and to stabilize the prices of diesel supplied to the food and electricity industries.

The committee concerned with the follow-up and implementation of the mechanisms for applying automatic pricing for petroleum products on a quarterly basis, at its meeting held after the end of last March, issued a recommendation to amend the current prices prevailing in the local market, the new prices for the April-June 2022 quarter.
