If you are looking for a self-motivated, disciplined, but creative person to compliment your business with a variety of skills, continue reading. I am seeking to supplement my income by asking your company to cultivate my creativeness, attention to detail, and many other skill sets. The main areas of my knowledge include art, education, and merchandising/sales, but also include typing, basic graphic design, and creative writing. My educational background includes an Associates Degree of Business and a Bachelors of Science in the area of Art Education for grades kindergarten through 12. The Bachelors of Science in Art Education was received from studying at a private college in Oakland City, Oakland City University. I earned the AS from Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, IL. I graduated from both of these institutions with honors. Also, I graduated early from my hometown to start college at the age of 17 in the pursuit of entering the business workforce ahead of my peers. My daytime job is a merchandiser at one of the leading "big box" home improvement retailers. I have been dedicated to this store for 11 years. This particular position requires attention to details, problem solving, physical labor, basic computer skills, and more. In addition I am the trainer for our store's merchandising team. Other employment positions I have held were: kitchen designer, appliance specialty sales associate, cashier, long-term art teacher substitute, and candy maker. Personally, I am a not-your-typical thinking person always looking to extend my knowledge. I take a different route to problem solving at times, but enjoy finding creative solutions. My interests include too many things to list, but some are: photography, contemporary art, cooking, fitness, and animals (especially dogs). I look forward to finding a creative solution to your challenges and needs. Thank you for reading.
