My industry and work experience allows me to offer versatile freelance or contract services. I have a background in research, education, editing and proofreading, and a strong background in agriculture. My research experience ranges from soybean development for one of the largest agricultural companies in the world to editing and presenting refereed journal articles at professional educator conferences. While obtaining my Master's Degree, I was delegated teaching assistant and research assistant duties. While in agriculture education, I have developed curriculum for courses from animal science to food science, agricultural mechanics to horticulture. I have taught at the secondary level and post-secondary level. My post-secondary work has been done remotely, demonstrating my time-management skills and capabilities of working with various online software. I have edited resumes, prepared students for job interviews, raised over $65,000 in grants for local programs and projects in just five years. As an FFA Advisor, I develop students' leadership skills. In order to better promote the local program in which I teach, I write articles for the local and statewide newspapers. I am a licensed drone pilot and a Division I athlete. Our family farm has been a priority since I understood the scope of its capabilities and I am currently working to improve the productivity of our cattle herd and sustainability of our farm ground. I have presented at state organization conferences such as the Iowa Association of Agricultural Educators and the Natural Resources Conservation Services annual meetings, and at national organization annual meetings such as the American Association for Agricultural Educators and North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture. I am a hobbyist photographer and sports enthusiast, having a touch of experience with photo editing software and many hours of experience as a mentor and coach to young athletes.
