The death toll from the collapse of a building in central China has risen to 26, the official CCTV network reported Thursday, nearly a week after the collapse of the building that included a hotel, apartments and a cinema.
The eight-storey building collapsed on April 29 in the city of Changsha (center) for reasons that are still unknown.
The search and rescue operations that have continued since have resulted in the rescue of 10 people who were trapped under the rubble, and 26 deaths have been recorded, according to the television network, quoting local officials.
