As a new game designer and producer, we feel that the artwork and character development is critical in getting our game noticed, once the application is noticed it needs to deliver on its promise to be a game that's fun to be played and provide the user with a rich set of features.
Technical skill:
From the start we knew that we did not have to worry about the quality of graphics for our game.
We selected Red River Studio for the following reasons:
Red River Studio was quick to create and provide us with concept sketches based on our requirements, while other freelancers untimely provided their concept sketches or felt that their work sample was good enough to demonstrate their technical skill.
During the bidding phase of our project, Red River Studio demonstrated a clear understanding of our requirements.
Red River Studio took the time to work with us and explain their profession through conversation via Skype and email.
Ryan from Red River Studio was energetic in assisting in the character development for the project.
Red River Studio was quick to submit a signed Non Disclosure Agreement.
Red River Studio was direct and honest about how your profession worked and what you needed to make.
Communication:
Ryan is well spoken and articulate individual. He was able to decipher our concepts even when we were not clear, he did this early on by pulling apart what we liked and what we did not like.
Creativity:
Red River Studio took on a creative role in recommending an in-project solution that was outside the graphic designer's responsibilities that we believe will benefit the project and ultimately the end product. They put our project first in delivering well above our expectations.
Red River Studio recommended and provided a in-game color modification solution that allows the individual players of our game to personalize their game-play by changing their team's colors.
Timeliness
Red River Studio was one of the first freelancers to provide initial sketches, after we awarded Red River Studio the graphic work and provided them with our initial feed back. Day one, Red River Studio provided graphic images to be used as placeholders for the final graphic work to assist our developers and streamline the development process.
From our initial feed back, they refined the sketches and we received these initial sketched even before Red River Studio received there initial payment.
Character and object models were provided early during the development of the Initial Models phase of the project.
One of our requirements for Red River Studio was that they needed to have fun with this project if they took on the work. We believe that if you're having fun, you're doing your best work. Up till now we had a lot of fun with the graphics and character development and we have not started the animation yet. We can hardly wait.
