CPAP Compliance Specialist • Work for a full service DME company offering respiratory therapy, support surfaces, as well as standard Home Medical Equipment. • The PAP compliance and adherence specialist is responsible for coordinating the initial setup of patients with PAP devices and supplies, educating patients on the proper use of the device, coaching and monitoring patients throughout the use of their PAP device to alleviate symptoms of sleep apnea. • Help patients overcome objections to PAP therapy by providing education and solutions to ensure that patients understand the purpose and benefits of PAP therapy to be able to meet and exceed specific measurable goals related to initial and ongoing PAP compliance and patient satisfaction with therapy. • Perform patient outreach phone calls at prescribed time periods. • Help patients troubleshoot and remove barriers to effective PAP use. • Manage patient information about PAP and is responsible for monitoring and maintaining PAP compliance documentation in the electronic medical record and other designated databases and portals. • Promote engagement from physicians, doctor’s office and their staff to ensure all patients are getting the full benefit from using a PAP device. • When possible, coordinate benefits with the patient’s insurance company to make sure their clients are using the expensive equipment that was paid for. • Serve as a clinical liaison to doctor’s offices regarding issues associated with patient PAP compliance. • With knowledge of Brightree Healthcare or medical record database
