I am a motivated and efficient creative thinker with a passion for media production. Throughout my studies in RTA: Media Production at Ryerson University, I focused on documentary filmmaking, screenwriting, and producing. During this time, I wrote dramatic, comedic, and factual scripts. My thesis project was a documentary film titled, Juan’s Speech, which was acquired by CBC. I am also fluent in American Sign Language as my brother is deaf. After graduating, I began working on Entertainment One’s upcoming series, Never Say Goodbye, as the show’s assistant production coordinator and casting director. This experience was very fulfilling and taught me how to work in a fast-paced environment with a large production. As the community manager and social media manager at Ground Glass Media, I assessed advertising strategies and approaches for both our company and each casting call. While at Lewis Kay Casting working as a casting assistant, I was involved in the casting process of feature films and television shows. This included script coverage, writing character descriptions, running auditions, and negotiating offers between talent, agents and production teams. These negotiations gave me a thorough understanding of ACTRA rules and regulations. Following this, I worked Midas Letter as a chase producer where I plan and organize all aspects of production. Furthermore, no matter what I’m assigned, I always bring my genuine enthusiasm, perseverance and tenacity to each task. I believe that drive and ambition are my most compelling attributes and that my strong interest in storytelling can be aptly applied to any position
