IT professional with more than 14 years of experience. Worked as system administrator, network administrator, datacenter administrator, project manager, and Vmware specialist for the last 10 years for a group of companies providing educational and consulting services in Greece. I believe to be an ambitious, competent and hardworking professional who values results above all. I stand for absolute cooperation with the client and I prioritize a deep understanding of his/her needs and goals. I have extensive knowledge of all key components that make up a VDI solution, at the hardware and software levels. I believe in a well-rounded, exhaustive professional approach, and thus, I strive to better myself. As an example of this, I am currently enrolled in three major certification exams, CCNA – VCA6-DCV – MSCA 2016, which I am confident to complete within the next six to ten months. At the same time I am taking Udemy Agile, UTIL and Prince2 courses to obtain further experience, to gain additional knowledge and to certify my skillset. I excel in working with my team, either in leading or facilitating roles. My aim is to adhere to tight time schedules, to combine and bring out the best out of us, to utilize every resource available. Knowing your team is as essential as knowing yourself. My virtual solutions are designed for scalability, ease of access and user friendly environment. I often like to experiment, but I prioritize production solutions that are error free, rock-solid, and easy to manage. I consider over-provisioning and complex solutions unnecessary, and I abide to Occam’s famous words: “if you have two equally likely solutions to a problem, choose the simplest”. All things virtual is my passion, and I am willing to spend as much time as needed for truly learning and refining my knowledge on the subject. I am also willing to travel, work and meet other professionals, exchange expertise and ideas with them, always eager to meet the next challenge.
