Efforts to evacuate more civilians from the besieged Ukrainian port city of Mariupol faltered Monday, with hundreds of people still trapped at the Azovstal steel plant, the last stronghold of resistance to Russia's blockade. The reason for the delay was not clear, although a city official said earlier that Russian forces had resumed bombing the factory on Sunday, after a convoy of buses had left. On the other hand, Finland announced the cancellation of a contract to build a nuclear power plant with the Russian company Rosatom. Denmark and Hungary confirmed that they would reopen their embassies in Kyiv.
