I am capable of writing scholarly text in readable style. The greatest compliment I have received on my dissertation/book is that it doesn't read like a dissertation. In translating from French to English, I stress fidelity to the meaning of the original. This often requires looking up every significant word in order to determine the correct translation for the context. I balance accuracy with readability by making the translation flow like an English text and not sound like a translation. I write with clarity, good style, and scholarly accuracy. My book, A History of the Farmington Plan, was lauded for its clarity, unlike other scholarly works in the field. I translate from French to English with a smooth flow not resembling a translation. I do thorough research in print and electronic sources, with a high degree of skill from my Ph.D. in library and information science.
