I am a software developer and lawyer who decided to pursue software development professionally after months of self-teaching and ultimately attending a well-respected development bootcamp in New York. I am very comfortable working with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Angular and various SQL and NoSql data stores but I love digging deep into new code bases and learning new technology stacks. I have regularly built data-intensive applications in a fast-paced, agile-environment using Ruby on Rails, Node.js and Angular.js. I also have experience designing RESTful internal API's designed to scale and efficiently handle large and growing data sets. Some of my projects included: - A data-driven application that allowed account managers to make informed decisions on how to interact with our clients. This became one of the primary tools that they used to do their jobs. - Re-writing the framework that powered all of our internal applications using Node.js and a RESTful, service oriented architecture. - Writing custom data-collection applications for timely analysis of market trends. Although not a DevOps engineer per se, I have deployed various Node and Rails services/applications on AWS both manually and via OpsWorks and I currently really enjoy working with Docker, which I use frequently on personal projects.
