My best skill is the ability to communicate with a customer. Most of the effort in a project is spent understanding what the customer actually needs. All of my technical knowledge comes in handy when we decide on what are the specifications. In terms of technical skills, my most valuable is database design. This is the most nuanced of all areas in programming. When designing a database, I have the expectation of learning about every aspect of the customer's business that pertains to the project/solution. Timelines, business rules, existing business processes, scalability and flexibility all are reviewed in my design process. Much of my work has been in the home building industry. Also, I am an experienced ASP.NET developer. I have created many projects in this platform for various businesses and continue to provide support for these diverse customers.
