I have been programming websites (including responsive), banner ads (animated ads) and email templates since 2007. I have worked with a variety of CMS platforms: Joomla!, Magento, CMS Made Simple, ZenCart but mostly I've been creating custom themes for WordPress. I have strong communication skills to make sure the work is done correctly the first time. For the past 2-1/2 years, I've been working my own business, Corvid.Studio. Before that, I worked 4-1/2 years for an agency that was very detailed oriented. Having this experience has taught me about efficiency, communication and working within a budget. These are all important traits when working on projects. One factor that is extremely important is web maintenance. I see a lot of companies forget about web maintenance, an important step in owning a website. I have a lot of experience with maintaining websites to make sure backups are running and downloaded (don't rely on your host!), updating the CMS and all plugins/modules/extensions. Testing all updates on a development site before updating the live site. Website maintenance is such an important part of a website!
