Almost 30 years experience developing websites (started building sites right when the internet took off in the early 90's). In earlier years I programmed in classic ASP and ASP.NET, and later php/linux. These days I prefer to build sites running on top of major well proven CMS packages like Wordpress, use existing cart systems for ecommerce (opencart, etc), or start with a great existing script and modify it to meet the specific needs of the client. For most small businesses and individuals, these are best most cost effective solutions to build great websites, and also provides for them reliable and easy to use back end website management tools. So although I have the ability to start with a blank page and build a website absolutely from scratch (which takes 6 months to a year to do properly), my focus is on utilizing proven web technologies that can build great websites that fit the budget of most small businesses and individuals, and can be deployed quickly (2 weeks to 90 days depending on the project scope).
