What's new on Hulu in May 2022: 'Candy,' 'Conversations with Friends' and more

Plenty of buzzworthy TV shows are hitting Hulu this May.

Actress Jessica Biel transforms into a 1980s housewife, Candy Montgomery, in the new true crime drama, "Candy."

The limited series follows the events that led to the murder of Texas woman Betty Gore in 1980. The five-night event premieres May 9.

Another arrival you won't want to miss is "Conversations with Friends," based on Irish author Sally Rooney's 2017 novel of the same name. The 12-episode limited series, premiering May 15, features an all-star cast including Joe Alwyn, Jemima Kirke, Sasha Lane and Alison Oliver.

Rooney's best-selling 2018 novel, "Normal People," also became a successful series for Hulu.

Other May arrivals on Hulu to check out include the finale of limited series "The Girl From Plainville," Samara Weaving's new romantic comedy, "The Valet," and the documentary about late rapper XXXTentacion, "Look At Me: XXXTENTACION."

Hulu subscription plans start at $6.99 per month, and there is a bundle offer featuring Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+ for $13.99 per month.
