A simple calculation for how much you will need to spend:
Take the monthly volume of sales of your top competitors (or your revenue goal) and aim to imitate this sales volume strictly through PPC. Assume your ads will have a 100% ACoS; this will give you the worst-case scenario for your monthly investment in PPC.
Usually, the performance of ads is better than that, and as you get sales, you will rank organically and you will get organic sales, but it's important to have a worst-case scenario plan so that you can make a plan for investment in PPC and inventory to back up sales.
