Duties: I am responsible for the Judiciary's Data Communications Network (DCN) southern California hub site located in the Pasadena Divisional Office. This also includes working with the United States District Courts in the above remote sites. I monitor, maintain the LAN hardware/software for Judge's chambers and the affiliate branches including the United States Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, the Clerk's Office, and the Library and ensure its integration and performance. This includes working closely with the Office of the Circuit Executive. I maintain the security and integrity of passwords, virus protections, and backups. I analyze and resolve operational problems, including troubleshooting LAN hardware and software. I manage and administer the day-to-day operations, including creating new accounts, issuing passwords, installing and upgrading LAN software, maintain, verifying, and logging accurate LAN backups including the remote locations up to 200 miles away.
