One particular project that stands out was a client that had asked for us to create an ecommerce site. In addition, they had wanted to tie in their internal accounting system, which ran on a program called "MAS 90 / 200" This accounting system had many individual customizations. We assigned a small team to set up our own MAS 90 / 200 in-house system, so that we could be perfectly familiar with the inner workings of it. Once that was accomplished, we were then able to start building the ecommerce site which was also tied into a SQL server database as well. One point that I wanted to share, is that once the project was completed, the client told us that other vendors that they had considered before us, refused to work with them on this accounting package. They ALL tired to sell them something else that they were familiar with rather then taking the time to learn the clients system. This is the reason why a smaller shop outshines the bigger ones.
