My career began in 1982 as Secretary to the GM & Coaching Staff of the NHL's New Jersey Devils, a team that relocated from Colorado. As the office staff expanded, I transferred to the PR department, becoming PR & Marketing Assistant., where my strong editing & proofreading skills were born. The NJ Devils were selected to host the 1984 NHL All-Star Game, which was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
In 1988 I relocated to Washington, D.C., and began working as a litigation secretary for a firm representing high-profile clients. I then applied for and was hired as the Assistant in the firm's Recruiting Department. In this role I supported the Recruiting Manager, responding to unsolicited applications, scheduling associate and lateral partner interviews, and coordination of on-campus recruiting initiatives and the subsequent Summer Associate program.
