I have worked for the past 2 years at a Manufacturing firm as an Accounting Associate. I assist the controller with various functions, such as bank reconciliations, compiling financial statements, data entry, and various functions of A/P and A/R. I believe my hands on experience has given me many of the tools necessary to be highly skilled in the business world. I am very proficient in MS Word and Excel. I work on both a PC and a Mac, so I am knowledgeable in the applications of both. My college accounting courses, as well as three years working in the accounting department of a manufacturing company and two years assisting a CPA have provided me with a variety of skills, including creating income statements, creating balance sheets, reconciling bank statements, various aspects of purchasing and manufacturing, determining cost of goods sold, calculating depreciation and amortization, and a very clear understanding of debits and credits.
