I graduated from college with a degree in Media Studies. In addition to this degree and a minor in Distribution Technology: Merchandising, I received a certificate in Business and Technical Writing. After college I’ve had many opportunities to put what I’d learned to use. I worked with radio stations to promote and coordinate events and I created promotional pieces and liners for local businesses and non-profits. Some of these pieces included press releases, flyers, brochures and even a new marketing venue. I participated in networking parties for businesses and have been a consultant for generating new and effective ideas to help push images into the lime light. While working briefly in Human Resources and Recruiting, I was able to use my certificate to compile adequate resumes and cover letters for candidates to attract attention from employers.
