I am developer of WordPress BuddyPress bbPress. I setup a Facebook-like multi-site for a client to provide full collaboration base for its volunteers. The site built on WordPress, and extended with BuddyPress, bbPress, and other plugins to provide both community and forum features to the site. This was to provide groups and individuals in the community to have their own blog and community environment to discuss favorable issues. Some of the site’s features were: • Instant messaging • Facebook and Twitter like features including direct messaging, mentioning, hashtaging, friendship and following, grouping and so on. • Group and individual blogs • Forums for groups and blogs • Knowledgebase • Document center • Multimedia Gallery for groups and individuals
