(1) I have worked as a CMS manager for a UK trading company where I managed time-critical posts, articles, news, and other content-related tasks using Gutenberg and WP bakery. - Using tools such as Drag and Drop Canva (image tools) to create simple images and downloading royalty free images and resizing- Social media creation - being able to repost content and reword bits of blog posts to syndicate across social media channels- Understanding SEO - being able to fix issues such as duplicate content, meta data, image tags, 301 redirects- Adding elements, classes, sidebars, shortcodes to lots of pages- Adding blogs to the site to a very specific requirement- Manually adding pages to the site, using shortcode and other templates- Using the Web to download and resize images, find information from data sources such as Unsplash, and making pages- Interlinking between different pages- Testing pages- Ability to make minor edits, understand articles, categorise content etc.
(2) I worked as a VA for an SEO consultant, and part of the job is uploading (ready-made) articles to his website (Wordpress). These articles were purchased from a 3rd party. My tasks include:- researching for royalty-free images to be used as the article's featured and header image- redesigning the featured image via Canva to match the existing layout/theme- uploading the header images appropriately, every 150-200 words - H1, H2, H3- adding internal links and backlinks to appropriate anchor texts, making sure external links are set as "open new tab" to increase reader retention on our site and improve UX- title tag and meta description that falls within Google algorithm
(3) Wordpress Maintenance for a website development agency
- Update WordPress, Themes and Plugins weekly (we use a platform called Blogvault). You should follow a process that will be explained to make sure the outcome is smooth (taking backups, testing frontend for issues, being able to restore a backup if any issues)
- Handle simple client requests directly. These would typically include adding/removing/editing content or images, adding/removing page menus etc. Different sites will be build differently, but typically the projects may use a page builder such as Oxygen, Beaver Builder, Elementor, Gutenburg
- Liaising with my other developers for more complex tasks such as custom coding or working on existing functionality that they have built
