World Cup 2022 final adjudicator Szymon Marciniak believes that he made one error during Argentina’s palm over France in Qatar.
Marciniak came the first Pole to officiate the biggest game in world football last Sunday and entered plenitude of applause from pundits and suckers for his performance.
Given how Qatar 2022 also saw some rather shocking refereeing opinions, not least in England’s quarter-final exit to France, it was truly fantastic to see Marciniak remain calm and composed throughout the 120 twinkles.
Among his highlight, he rightfully awarded three penalties, reserved French striker Marcus Thuram for diving and slightly had to consultVAR.
Still, the 41- time-old has since stated that the match wasn't impeccably ruled and while no ‘ big ’ miscalculations were made, he feels there was one decision he'd have made else in hindsight.
‘ Of course, there were miscalculations in this final, ’ heSport.PL.
‘ I intruded the Frenchcounter-attack after a bad attack by Marcos Acuna.
